High speed laser diode driver with user design nanosecond pulse shape
This high speed laser diode driver generates any programmable pulse shape with down to 500 ps step and 48 dB dynamic range.
It is a very compact module with mounting sockets for butterfly laser diodes. This high speed laser diode driver with integrated TEC controller delivers precision pulses which are generated internally by an on-board AWG (Arbitrary Waveform Generator).
It includes many functionalities like gain switch peak suppression or 3 synchronized pulse delay generators. Direct diode modulation is an interesting alternative to EOM (Electro-Optics Modulators) or AOM (Acousto-Optics Modulators) external modulation. See our fiber coupled tutorial for more information.
